We believe the church exists to complete the Great Commission Jesus gave to the Church:
“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

MATTHEW 28:18-20
We say it this way, Highland Colony Baptist Church is about “Building Effective Believers; Committed to Transforming Our Times.” To be an effective believer includes four actions or commitments which are the expectations of those who call HCBC home.
We are a cooperating Southern Baptist Church that agrees with the doctrines of The Baptist Faith and Message.
All believers should make worship attendance a priority. Gathering with God’s family is vital.
We believe that all members of the body are gifted to serve the rest of the body. We should all find a place to serve one-another through the ministries and programs of the church. At Highland Colony, we have a major focus on investing in the next generation and strongly encourage an associated ministry as a starting place.
Discipleship happens best in the context of relationship. We believe everyone should commit to being an active part of a LifeGroup and as such committed to reaching out to include others in our community, the study of God’s Word, and ministering to the needs of others in the fellowship.
A growing disciple should be committed to spreading the Good News. We actively seek local, national, and international mission opportunities and encourage everyone to GO on a mission trip at some point. And even if you can't go — you can help SEND others through financial contributions and PRAY for a fruitful harvest.
