A Welcome from Our Pastor!
Hey there, I am Joel Richardson, and I'm the Senior Pastor here at Highland Colony Baptist Church in Ridgeland, Mississippi. We are so thrilled that you have chosen to be here on our property. Just within a few blocks of here you will find hundreds of restaurants and shops and places of entertainment, and we hope that you will take advantage of those places while you are here.
We also hope that while you are here, you will consider to connecting to what we are doing here at Highland Colony. We pray that if you are already a member of a faith family that you would plug into what they are doing at your home church. That might mean plugging in online to what they are doing, or by staying connected through their worship services. But our prayer for you is that you would use the gifts and strengths that God has given you stay connected to your home church.
Scripture teaches us in Hebrews 10:24-25, "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near."
So, if you are already connected to a faith family...stay connected to that faith family.
But if you are not connected to a faith family, we pray you would consider making Highland Colony your faith family, and your home.
Scripture says in 1 John 4:9, "God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him."
So, what scripture says is that God knows you, and he so desperately wants you to know him. The greatest context in which we know him is through his word, prayer, and through meeting together with a group of believers.
