Thank you for visiting Highland Colony Baptist Church online. We are so glad you are interested in our church. It’s our hope that you will find all the information you are looking for. Take your time, look around, and please contact us if we can provide any additional information.
What time do you meet?
We have Bible Study groups for all ages that we call Life Groups which meet at 9:15 on Sundays followed by the Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.
What is the Worship Service like?
We describe our worship service simply as corporate. It’s our desire to create a worship environment where people from the ages of seven to seventy and all in between can worship our great God. In our worship service you will sing hymns and worship songs, a great choir leading in worship, a band with keyboard, guitars, bass, and drums. You will also hear a biblical message intended to help you on the journey of becoming an effective believer.
How will people be dressed?
You might describe our style as business casual. You will find most people dressed comfortably in slacks and polo style or button-up shirts. But you will also find some dressed in coat and tie and bluejeans alike. No one should feel any pressure to dress a certain way. We understand that God is far more concerned with preparation of our hearts than our wardrobe when we come to worship Him.
What about my kids?
As stated above, we describe our service as corporate and that’s because we worship together as one inclusive church family. We do provide an extended teaching session for bed babies through Pre-K in our Preschool area while the rest of the family, Kindergarten through adults, join together for worship in the Worship Center. During Bible Study, we offer a full range of classes for all ages.
Will anyone embarrass me?
We certainly hope not. We will most definitely not single you out in the Worship Service in any way. We will invite you to fill out a connection card if you desire more information about our church which you can turn in completely anonymously. We will have a time of greeting during the service and some of our regulars will probably introduce themselves to you.
