Thank you for visiting Highland Colony Baptist Church online.  We are so glad you are interested in our church. It’s our hope that you will find all the information you are looking for. Take your time, look around, and please contact us if we can provide any additional information.

What time do you meet?

For the first four Sundays in July we meet for worship at 10:30 a.m. with no Sunday School meeting prior to worship. Our regular schedule resumes the July 31 with Bible Study at  9:15 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.

What is the Worship Service like?

We describe our worship service simply as corporate. It’s our desire to create a worship environment where people from the age of seven to seventy, and all in between, can worship our great God. In our worship service you will sing hymns and worship songs, you will hear a great choir lead in worship, you will hear  keyboard music mixed in with acoustic sounds of drums and a variety of guitars. You will also hear a biblical message intended to help you on the journey of becoming who God wants you to be.

How will people be dressed?

We would describe our style as business casual. You will find most people dressed comfortably in slacks and polo style or button-up shirts. But you will also find some dressed in coat and tie and bluejeans alike. We want you to be comfortable. You will rarely see a tie on the platform. You will usually see the choir wearing robes.

What about my kids?

As stated above, we describe our service as corporate and that’s because we worship corporately.  We do provide an extended teaching session for bed babies through Pre-K in our Preschool area while the rest of the family, Kindergarten through adults, join together for worship in the Worship Center.  During Bible Study, we offer a full range of classes for all ages.

Will anyone embarrass me?

We certainly hope not. We will most definitely not single you out in the Worship Service in any way. We will invite you to fill out a connection card if you desire more information about our church which you can turn in completely anonymous.  We will have a time of greeting during the service and some of our regulars will probably introduce themselves to you.
